Anyone who is traveling with children, prams and bag and baggage knows how challenging it can be at times.
Therefore, to make things a little less tiring, people often look for a way to attach the backpack to the stroller .
In order to achieve this, there are various holding systems and stroller attachments. In this article we will introduce you to some practical options.
Various transport options
Basically, there are several ways to transport a backpack, bags, shopping or other items with a stroller.
The most common are:
- Large shopping network for prams
- stroller basket
- Stroller Crochet
If the backpack is not too big, it can be transported in a shopping net that is attached to the frame and handle of the stroller. However, not all backpacks fit into such a net and other items that should always be at hand are also often stored there.
Another option is to put the backpack in a basket that attaches under the stroller. Most trolleys are already equipped with such a basket. The disadvantage is that the backpack is not directly at hand and, due to its proximity to the ground, can also get dirty quite quickly.
From our point of view, the most practical method is to attach the backpack to the handle and frame of the stroller with special hooks or fasteners. There, the backpack is always in sight and, on top of that, always within reach.
- Our pram hook received several awards in 2019 – it received the GOLD MEDAL for “Pram Accessories” at the MadeForMums Awards. At the Lovedbyparents Awards it received PLATINUM in the category “Best Stroller/Buggy Accessory” & SILVER for “Best Travel Accessory”. Many parents tell us that they can’t remember how they used to get along without the pram clips: “They are literally a lifesaver!” Finally, the tedious carrying is over.
Attach normal backpack to stroller
Most backpacks have a sturdy handle built in between the shoulder straps at the top. They can be attached to the stroller with special stroller hooks.
Such pram hooks usually consist of a Velcro fastener, which is attached to the handle or frame of the pram. This Velcro strap has a stable snap hook to which backpacks and bags can easily be attached.
Even if the backpack does not have a handle on top, the straps can be attached to the left and right of the stroller with two such stroller hooks, provided they fit into the carabiner.
But diaper bags, shopping bags, school bags and other items can also be easily attached to the stroller.
Attach the diaper backpack to the stroller
Instead of using a normal backpack, many parents like to use a special diaper backpack .
- All-in-one Design – A large capacity (size: 42 x 20 x 30cm) diaper backpack with portable changing mat, stroller straps, pacifier pocket, zippered pocket, key loop and 5 insulated pockets. Plenty of pockets (2 large compartments and 18 pockets) in the right places. It’s a breeze to pack, grab and travel. The diaper bag inside offers space for tablets and laptops up to 15 inches.
Such a diaper backpack offers many different compartments and pockets especially for bottles, diapers, towels, clothes and care products. But there is usually enough space for the parents’ personal belongings, such as wallets, mobile phones, bunch of keys and many more.
Most of the time, a diaper backpack, which is also sometimes called a mom backpack, comes with a built-in attachment option for the stroller, so you can save on additional stroller hooks. This is of course practical.
Before buying such a backpack, it should be checked whether the attachment options mentioned are already installed, or whether the buggy hooks required are at least included in the delivery.
If you want to attach a backpack to the stroller, you can easily do this with practical stroller hooks. Bags, satchels and other items can also be securely attached and transported with it.
The purchase of such hooks is therefore definitely recommended.
